Rourkela, Orissa – The Wushu Association of Orissa (WAO) is all set to participate in the 30th State Wushu Championship 2024, scheduled to take place from July 5th to 7th, 2024, at the Madhusudan Bhaban, Chhend Colony, Rourkela. The championship is being hosted by the Sports Wushu Association of Sundargarh (SWAS) and sanctioned by the Wushu Association of Orissa (WAO).
A strong contingent of 50 participants, comprising 36 boys and 14 girls, will represent the Wushu Association of Orissa at the championship. The team will be accompanied by a technical team of 5 officials, including 4 men and 1 woman.
Under the leadership of Pruthwiraj Harichandan, Vice President of WAO, and General Secretary, WAK, the team is confident of putting up a impressive show at the championship. The participants have been training rigorously to hone their skills and are eager to showcase their talent at the state-level event.
The 30th State Wushu Championship 2024 is expected to attract top wushu players from across the state, and the Wushu Association of Orissa is determined to make a mark at the event. With its rich history of promoting wushu in the state, the association is committed to identifying and nurturing talent, and providing a platform for wushu enthusiasts to excel.
The championship will feature a range of events, including forms, sanda, and taolu, and will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Wushu Association of India.
