Chief Minister Promises Swift Implementation of Samrudh Krushak Niti

BARGARH:In a significant announcement on Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi assured the people of Bargarh that the Samrudh Krushak Niti will be rolled out within the next 100 days, fulfilling a key promise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at a public function marking the release of the 17th installment of the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana, Majhi addressed the longstanding concerns of farmers.

During his first visit to Bargarh, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to resolving farmers’ issues promptly. He emphasized the imminent introduction of a new support price, aimed at bolstering agricultural incomes.

Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, Majhi engaged with the local community during a roadshow from Gandhi Chowk to George High School field, underscoring his accessibility compared to previous administrations. He criticized the former BJD government for neglecting farmer welfare over the past two decades, promising a more responsive governance approach.

Referring to past unfulfilled promises, Majhi cited instances where farmers suffered due to delayed procurement and inadequate market infrastructure. He assured swift action under the new administration to address these longstanding grievances.

The Chief Minister disbursed Rs 632.48 crore to over 31.62 lakh farmers under the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana, benefitting 1,77,711 farmers in Bargarh district alone. He pledged inclusion of an additional 40,500 eligible farmers in upcoming installments of the scheme, reflecting his administration’s commitment to inclusivity.

Key local legislators including MLA Ashwini Sarangi and others were present, reinforcing solidarity with the Chief Minister’s initiatives. Following the event, Majhi interacted with officials and received public petitions, signaling a proactive approach to governance and citizen engagement.
