The BJP Intellectual Cell arranged a discussion here in the Zoom Platform to discuss on healthy life styles and related matters. The panel discussant was Dr. Shivashish Giri. He is an Odiya Doctor settled in Germany and doing research on Diabetes, cancer, obesity, functions of lever and many more related areas. In connection with spread of latest findings in the health care field, he visits most of the European countries and other developed countries. The date of the meeting coincided with the 45th Foundation of BJP and the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna, Late Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Bajpayi.
Dr Giri, spoke on his research and findings of his friends and colleagues on health care sector. According to him, the body should be tuned to its necessities. He said, our body is a unique gift of nature. If the different capabilities of the brain and body are properly harnessed, one can lead a healthy life for longer duration. He suggested consuming oil and other fat items moderately. Whatever we eat, it goes to the lever first and it is strained there and circulates in the billions of cells by the action of the heart, which works like a small pump. He insisted on eating natural foods and remaining away from the processed foods. He also suggested taking early dinner, so that the brain gets time to take proper steps to fight against serious health conditions like thyroid, diabetes and even cancer.
Answering to the queries of the participants he said, any claim in the social media about some products and services need to be fact checked. Diabetes reversal claimedby ertain leading organizations is not scientifically established. On alkaline water he said, the claim is not supported with scientific research currently. Rather it is harmful for healthy body. It gives temporary relief for few hours. He suggested, lemon water, drinking of warm water and juice of Rose Mary leaves are supported with research findings. Dr Giri is expecting a visit in the first week of May, where he can demonstrate certain findings.
Sri Santosh Mohanty from Moscow, Dr Gopal Das, Umasankar Misra, Rotarian A.B.Mohapatra, Binode Mohanty, Niranjan Panda, Khirode Sahoo, Namita Sahoo, Rituparna Mohapatra and Bibhu Dutta Mohanty participated in the discussion.
