Mock Test for Civil Services Conducted by ICSSR

Bhubaneswar, March 30, 2025: The Institute for Civil Services, Skills and Social Research (ICSSR) successfully conducted a mock test for Civil Services aspirants at the Conference Hall of Jehoovah Group of Companies, 460 Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar, today from 11 AM to 12 PM. The test comprised objective-type questions on General Knowledge and the Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT), designed to assess the candidates’ preparedness for competitive examinations.

Following the examination, candidates engaged in an in-depth discussion on the set questions and their related concepts with expert resource persons. The interactive session provided valuable insights into the examination pattern, improving conceptual clarity and problem-solving skills. The topper of the mock test, Ananya, a third-year student at National Law University, was awarded a cash prize in recognition of her outstanding performance.

The event also featured enlightening sessions by distinguished personalities, including Dr. G.B. Mallick, former Additional Director General, Professor Niranjan Barik, former Professor of Political Science at Ravenshaw University, and Dr. Sushanta Das, Founder of Kalinga Advanced Public School, Bhubaneswar. They shared valuable insights on strategic preparation for various competitive exams and emphasized the significance of structured study plans, time management, and the role of ICSSR in capacity building.

Chief Patron of ICSSR, Mr. Nrushingha Nath Nanda, provided essential logistical support for the event. Several eminent personalities, including Professor Rashmi Roul, an eminent novelist, along with Mr. Sarat Chandra Behera, Mr. Sukanta Kumar Mohanty, Mr. Bhaskar Chandra Sethi, Minaskhi Chowdhury, and Advocate Ashok Mohanty, extended their support in the smooth conduct of the test. Their presence and encouragement played a crucial role in motivating the participants.

According to the organizers, ICSSR plans to conduct similar mock tests across different parts of the state periodically, aiming to guide and mentor aspirants in achieving their career goals in the civil services domain. These initiatives are expected to provide aspiring candidates with a competitive edge and equip them with the necessary skills to excel in the Civil Services Examination.
