DV-Bhubaneswar: The State has witnessed a considerable growth in transport and travel during these years. It is the foremost duty of the State to implement the parameters of safety under Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019 which fall low and flat nowadays. This give rise to public resentment and unrest that prevails upon.Even the registration cancelled heavy vehicles ransack the environmental safety by plying on roads under the nose of concerned authorities. Priority to inspection and survey on regular basis are not done to avoid civic hazards. The call of action is not new to make public transport safer, accessible to all. The State has to end the silent pandemic of road injuries and save lives for economy prosperity and improve the quality of life for everyone.
