Odisha Media Welfare Association Core Committee Meeting Held at Satya Nagar IB, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, September 7, 2025:
The Odisha Media Welfare Association (OMWA) held its Core Committee meeting today at Satya Nagar IB, Bhubaneswar, under the chairmanship of Shri Satya Narayan Panda, Chairman of the Association. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair and members for their active participation, constructive ideas, and vision for the Association’s future.

During the discussions, the Association reaffirmed its mission to expand its organizational presence by setting up a fully functional district office at Sabujila while reinforcing its strong base in Bhubaneswar. Members emphasized that this vision will be achieved through unity, collective struggle, and dedication.

A one-year roadmap was outlined, with the Association pledging to deliver concrete results and landmark initiatives, including:

Journalist welfare programs for recognition, empowerment, and protection of rights.

Medical and health camps to provide essential healthcare services.

Tree plantation drives to promote environmental sustainability.

Road maintenance and drain cleaning campaigns to improve civic infrastructure.

Labor rights initiatives, honoring the dedication of workers contributing to Bhubaneswar’s growth.

The meeting also echoed guiding principles of leadership and service:

Prominent members present included Sanjay Mahanti, Lingaraj Raut, Amarjit Das, Kamalakant Nayak, Deepak Kar, Swaroop Das, Bibhuti Shadangi, Sangram Kishore Das, Satya Narayan Panda, Ranjan Barik, Promod Kumar Nayak (Balasore), and Dr. Sarat Chandra Behera.

The Odisha Media Welfare Association concluded the meeting with a renewed pledge to strengthen the welfare movement and serve the journalism fraternity with commitment, compassion, and unity.
